Our Story

A Classical Ballet Tradition in the Heart of Brooklyn

Farber Ballet has been a Brighton Beach cornerstone since 2000, founded by Leonid Farber on one belief: classical ballet should be accessible to every child.

Since 2000, our dance studio has trained hundreds of students from across Brooklyn and beyond, ages 3 and up, preparing many for competitive auditions, professional programs, and a lifelong love of movement. Our costumes are crafted by the celebrated Kharkov Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre in Ukraine, and our students have performed at venues including the Nayana Festival and the American Art Foundation.

We offer more than ballet. Our dance studio also teaches Pre-Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary and Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Stretch and Acrobatics, and Piano and Guitar, all under one roof, with the same dedication to craft that has defined Farber Ballet for a quarter century.

Classes for Every Age and Level

A class for every age and stage, from first plié to advanced Pointe.

Classical Ballet

Graded levels from beginner through advanced. Develops technique, posture, musicality, and artistic expression rooted in classical training.

Pre-Ballet (Ages 3–5)

A joyful introduction to movement for the youngest dancers. Builds coordination, rhythm, and confidence in a warm, nurturing environment.

Expressive styles that complement classical training. Students explore contemporary and lyrical movement with Farber's signature attention to form.

Hip-Hop
